Master Nir Malhi began studying with Master Wang Fu-lai in 1980 while living in Japan and seeking authentic teachers of martial arts. After the first meeting between the two, Master Nir Malhi understood that he had found a teacher with the abilities and talents he had only read about in stories and decided to remain with him. It was not an easy road. Master Wang Fu-lai turned out to be a pedantic teacher with the highest demands and Master Nir Malhi was forced to pass many tests before the teacher decided to teach him the most hidden secrets of the system.

On returning to Israel, Master Nir Malhi did as his teacher had demanded and established the Israeli Tai Chi Center in order to disseminate Grand Master Wang Shu-chin's martial arts throughout the country. Today the Center has hundreds of students and many branches all over Israel.
True to the philosophy that the jub (teacher) must alway be filled, in order to fill the cups (students), Master Nir continues to study from Master Wang and they meet twice a year.
